I bought some pedals that are platform on one side but set up for clips on the other. I have terrible feet, and large feet at that, size 12. Anyone have recommendations on shoes or sandals for sensitive feet? I use to get hotfoot with my upright back in the day. I seem to do better in shoes with a wide toe area.

I have seen clipped Sandals but not sure where you would get them. Have you checked with your local bike shop. That's who would know where to get the right sized shoe or Sandal for mounting clips.

I have wide flipper feet as well and cannot buy on line. Got to try them on first or my toes are crushed. That's my thoughts anyway.

Shimano makes sandals that you can adjust at the toes.

I too have terrible feet and wear size 47/13.5 shoes and currently have a pair of Performance Bike shoes. If you are purchasing your first pair, I would suggest buying velco strap, NON lace up shoes as they are a lot easier to get on and off.

....I've got some leather sandals that look like those Shimano ones in the pic, don't wear them any more, so thinking of trying to convert them to SPD's as an experiment. Already got some spare cleats and the backplate, just need the inclination to do it. Maybe they'll come apart first twist, but won't know till I try :cheesy:

I own a pair of Specialized and Shiman. They are very comfortable.
