    Tandemizer for delta trikes?

    Hello All,
Has anybody here made something that would allow you to link two or more delta's together to form a tandem/triple/quad etc.? Greenspeed makes them for their Anura, and Hase makes them...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

This week's quick update: I put the rear end back together (no paint, for now), propped everything in position and got the suspension pivot welded on this morning before work.

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

Alright, I'm convinced - I'll hold off painting until after the first 100 miles. Thanks, Twinkle and Dtd for helping me see reason! :)

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

Just a quick update - I did have the machine shop cut another keyseat into the driveside axle to allow for the mid-drive setup. Over the last couple days I did some final shaping work on the front...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

John, it looks like I can get the hub that I need for the mid-drive pretty inexpensively from my wholesaler - but thanks for thinking of me.

This morning I got the pivots for the suspension welded...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

With respect to the Mid-drive using disk brake rear hub - I did some more looking around on the web to see how this might be done, and found a video that shows the Mango Mid drive setup and how to...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

    Hey John,
Do you think you'd be able to finish a TW in the time you have to yourself?

Somewhere you described the idea of using a rear disk brake hub for a Mid-drive setup similar to what is...

Re: Long cold winter, lets get in shape

Is it the road quality that keeps you from riding? Distance to work and shops? Something else?

Glad your snow is melting! Ours is gone for about 2 or 3 weeks, now, and I've been pedaling a good...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

Got the drive side wheel painted and finished spoking it up this AM. Figured a picture with the rear end more or less done and the wheels in place would help the feeling of progress, so here it is: ...

Do you have any pictures you might post of the controls in their current position?

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

I made one of the nipple drivers suggested by Stormbird (thanks!) and it worked great. I did undo the spokes and re-spoked them , and found that some of the spoke nipples were about as loose as the...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

With a bunch of touchup welding sessions and a good bit of grinding, I got the brake side axle/hub to the point where I decided it was done. It is now painted, and this evening I spoked it up. I...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

Thanks, John! I am going with a 20" wheel, so I don't think I can use your numbers, but they should be good for others who might follow in your footsteps and happen to read this thread. If you feel...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

I just finished reading this Sheldon Brown piece on Spoke length - seems like the tolerances can be a bit touchy. Hope I get it right! I will likely be taking the parts to welding class tonight,...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

I think moving them apart 1/8" more ought to do it. It looks like that translates (using my admittedly dusty trig skills) to a touch over 1/4" greater spoke length.
    Thoughts?

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

    Hey John,
I had the nipples screwed on all the way - in other words if I had screwed them on any more they would have poked up above the nipple on the inner tube side of the rim. Are you thinking...

    Re: WF Cycles Timberwolf build.

This evening I used Brad's 3 cross spoking video and partially spoked (8 spokes per flange) the rim to the first flange and the unattached second (outboard flange). With the end of the axle against...

Here's another inspirational thread by Pat Eaton - maybe a bit more inspirational for the person building a Wolf without intending to velomobilize it.
