An alternate thought here.
For years I rode an upright 10 speed. It had a hard leather saddle that was hard to ride on at first. But As I rode more my body developed muscle and thick skin in the areas that counted. A thought might be if you fit nicely into your seat. Ride it for a month and see if your body adjusts to those sore spots before adding padding. Age and body fitness will make a difference into your bodies ability to adapt of course.
