All right, so I am building a cool bike related art installation thing for work.

I am making a "wind wall" which is a large sequin covered panel. The sequins move in air currents which are blown at them.

The wind will be made by a fan, powered by a bicycle generator.

This will all be installed in the lobby of the new science building of a local college.

The college I am creating this for has some "free" bikes available to students, which are kind of a fixture on campus, so the project manager requested I convert one of these bikes to a permanent generator.

To save some time I am using some pre-made components for the generator and grafting them into the (damaged) bike frame.

The best part is:I get to work from home for a day or two cutting and welding up bikes!
