    The seat upgrade together with the 203mm front disc conversions on both trikes are finished .
    Both trikes have had new brake and gear cables together with big rotors and new calipers ...

    I would completely agree with John on the subject of front brakes on a tadpole trike , A single rear brake on a tadpole is a total disaster waiting to happen. All the braking on the trike is achieved...

    Single sided wheels are fine with 12mm HT steel bolts , 14mm bmx axles , we also use 20mm with 14mm top hat reducers without problems double sided mounts look awful.

    Welcome to the forum ,
    pedal trikes generally have 2 angles lean back and lean in , this gives the appearance of leaning in/out on turns .

    We did make the mounting arms from 3mm bar

    Currently both trikes have had the left hand caliper and disc upgrade completed leaving only the RHS to assemble and adjust.

    Hi Bill

    I used Pit bike brake caliper because they were handed - since then we have converted to standard brakes and I were to make another I would use a similar method to the warrior plan .

    The arrow points in the direction of rotation , generally the disc with the arrow goes with the arrow pointing forward at the top making the l/h arrow sit against the hub .

    My e-trike next for the seat modification

    Yes that is 22 5 & 6mm Tee nuts , still lighter than the original metal brackets behind the seat

    Serious house clearing still in progress :taz: so not a lot being done but this winters project will be a refurbishment and upgrades on our "work" trikes .

    LHS of the road brakes - Front on right RHS Front on left - in order to get the cable run looking right the brakes are handed !

    I believe the arms are LHD / RHD for the english / american market , Years ago I found a pair of wrong side brakes here in the UK , failing that put the brake the wrong side of the forks .

    I believe there are online places like Craig's lists and recycle that have unwanted or unloved cycles.
    We have gumtree over here and a few council dumps that resell bikes.

    The hills east of Brighton are ---- errrr --hills that run up the sides of the cliffs or along the top in an eight mile ride ( 4 out and 4 back ) we have a total climb of 1500 plus feet .

    With a 18" low gear 28f - 32r on 20" wheels the assist helps when you are doing 8+ mph but with a run we haven't walked up any hills yet and we are not spring chickens
