bring back to life=my "T-bucket of bolts"

After conferring with Samagaga, they have a heavy duty differential (DG72CHD) uses 25mm axles that are hollow BUT due to shortages, they are back ordered. My plan is to keep looking for a good used lawn tractor differential and/or start dissembling the hot rod and wait.

bring back to life=my "T-bucket of bolts"

looking at the samagaga differential BUT it states for 18" wheels. I have 26" fat tires so that is basically out as well. Looking for a small lightweight differential that will handle the 26" fat tires and a differential will hopefully cure the "volks wagen" effect

    Street fox question

if you planning on going OFF ROAD I suggest 20mm axles with 36 holes. 48 holes if you are planning on doing any serious jumps! 12 mm is really too small and go with grade 8 axles

bring back to life=my "T-bucket of bolts"

Started this build many moons ago and has not been used for couple of years. Many issues such as underpowered = battery drain to high and it has "VW Syndrome" on the rear wheels. plan is to remove the freewheel differential, upgrade the brakes and insert a section of pipe to fit over the rear...

    Ed's 'StreetRunner' Quad Build

I am looking at reserecting my so called hot rod and got to thinking about your two motor drive set up. What happenes when you go around a corner? say you make a right turn and both motors are going say 800 rpm. the left wheel needs to got faster or right wheel needs to run slower. SOLUTION...

    converting tadpole recumbent =lawnmower

I mentioned this idea to wife and she basically said no, hire a gardener then the weed eating etc. can get done.

    converting tadpole recumbent =lawnmower

yes I thought about a robotic lawn mower but you need to have a wire burred under the ground around the perimeter. And IMO wouldn't be as much fun? I like the idea of rear wheel steering but ratcheting dual wheel front drive. remember reverse is not an issue with the motorized wheels.

    converting tadpole recumbent =lawnmower

being physically unable to mow my own lawn, thinking about morphing a tadpole recumbent into a riding mower. acquiring an old lawn mower deck, use a brushless motor for the blade power and the rear wheel w/ integrated motor for motive power. Using the rear wheel with motor will allow...
