First roll out of my cargo bike - 'Let's Kargo!' - Like a snail, it carries it's house everywhere, or in my case, all my camping gear for touring.

Yes they are. The rims are 4" wide and the tyres have a round-ish contact area of 3" across. I may swap out the rear tyre for a full 4" rounded version.

Well, after going over my plans again and again, I'm going back to build the Marauder after all. I've got all the parts now and know what to do. Stay tuned!! :)

Sorry to inform you all, but this project won't be happening after all. I've decided that the roads in the UK and lack of safe cycle paths is no place for this low bike to go. So I'm shelving it for now, until my situation changes in the future. I will however, be building a tall-ish cargo bike...

Hi guys, just letting you know I've started a blog on my website and will be doing a build video once all my parts are together. Part one will be the bike build and part two will be the fuselage build.

Thanks Emiel, the bike was sold on a few years ago, but is still out there. There's a video on YouTube, with the new owner doing his first trial ride. As for my current project, I'm hopefully collecting an old Raleigh Tempest road bike for it's drivetrain, bottom bracket shell and steering...

Quick update: I've purchased a used kids fat bike for the wheels and frame parts, just on the look out for another adult bike for the gears and steering bits. Just about to start drawing up a model for reference. Photos on my Facebook page :)

Race and tour trike with 20inch all around.

I started looking into various 20" wheel options and wanted to run Skyway BMX mag wheels for a project. Running a separate mountain bike hub with a derailleur fixes any set up if you need gears. The only disadvantage with mag wheels is you can't easily fit disc brakes or have high pressure...

Race and tour trike with 20inch all around.

I was going to use either shorter crank arms, to increase cadance or use a road bike remote rear hub for a gear ratio increase of 2:1. Think of a 16T 20" BMX rear wheel, directly linked to the largest sprocket, then a standard racer set up forwards of that, using the rest of the cassette gears.

Thanks for the feedback so far people. I had been working on a rear/lean steer trike, but I think in reality, any bump in the road will try to turn the bike. I've gone back to two wheels, as I just love it when you're low down and leaning in.

Hi people, This is my first post on here, as my old account wasn't used much and I've been doing other things in my life. I've decided to build a version of Brad's awesome 'Marauder' lowracer, but having a velomobile body shell built over it. I work with a leading British kit car manufacturer...
