Front Fork for 20" Wheel with Disc Brake Bracket UK source wanted

Think you are right Paul. Another week gone and still no further forward. Looking for bits atm. Don't actually want to convert the the original which came with the bike. I did find a sturdy looking 20" fork which has a Disc Brake bracket, Dropout 100mm / 10mm but a too short and unthreaded...

Front Fork for 20" Wheel with Disc Brake Bracket UK source wanted

Got a bit of an odd-ball! I had already read the "Bible" (SB's website) and notices there was no mention of threaded 1 1/8" steerer tubes. I have since found a few on eBay and elsewhere on Internet but not long enough. The Bike was made in Taiwan for Mission Cycles, Nr Maidstone Kent and is a...

Front Fork for 20" Wheel with Disc Brake Bracket UK source wanted

I had thought of extending the fork Paul. That and adding a Disc Brake Bracket may just be a bridge to far for me especially that since moving, my workshop and equipment has shrunk 10 fold (was 25ft X 12ft now only 7ft X 5ft . . . seriously) Steve Liskeard, Cornwall.

Front Fork for 20" Wheel with Disc Brake Bracket UK source wanted

Danny, no it's me that was confused. I've only had or made bikes with 1" steerer tubs and 22.2mm stem. I just assumed that when I measured the stem on the Mission SRT and its 1", so the steerer tube would be 38.6mm . . . and assumed seeing the locknuts, it was just the same as for a 1" steerer...

Front Fork for 20" Wheel with Disc Brake Bracket UK source wanted

Hi Danny, thanks for the info. Taking a break from other stuff, I got a Mission SRT for my other half. It has 20" wheels on the back and a 16" on the front. The small front wheel is dreadful on tracks and trails (potholes) and a few owners have changed the front to a 20". I have a suitable...

    Tandem Bike to Trike Conversion . . . . won't steer straight!

Thanks for all the info and Lovely Longstaff Trike picture, Paul and Popshot. The steering might have been a bit close to the "Edge". Although before I converted it, it definitely travelled in a straight line but thinking abt it, was not as easy to ride as my MB or Road Bike. Summarizing, by...

    Tandem Bike to Trike Conversion . . . . won't steer straight!

Hi Popshot and thanks for the info. That is not good news but looking at the trike just after fitting the axle, I did wonder if there might be a problem. The Axle's attchment brackets holes centres are 2" above the centre-line of the placement of the wheels originally in the dropouts. As you...

    Tandem Bike to Trike Conversion . . . . won't steer straight!

Hi all, Hope someone can throw some light on this problem. I have a Ecosmo Tandem Bike which has 20" wheels. I've converted it to a Trike with a Dream Bikes (Brazil) Rear end. It has a Diff, so both wheels are driven. Has also twin rear Disc Brakes! The bike before converting steered prfectly...
