    Nothing to lose really.

So surely there is plenty of room to do:- a disc-to-spoke holes a ring welded to it as close to the middle as possible another disc desired sprocket ring Think how 3 chain rings on front cranks are staggered ? Big to small inwards and reducing diameter. Paul

Delta trike design - constraints and solutions ?

Ok another mock-up The plywood is a bit thick [ 9mm ] I think it wants to ba a small plate maybe 4mm will be thick enough ? The rod ends are staggered vertically for the 15' of kingpin inclination And then the lower one is wound out of the plate and the upper one wound in [ plate limits...

Seeking advice on an Electric trike project

We will help where we can , however your project is unlike anything Brad designed and so we have little experience/advice to offer. You really need to find a DIY electric vehicle forum where there maybe someone who has used the kit you plan on buying. Not really that's what Brads designs are...

Seeking advice on an Electric trike project

Rather odd as there is a DIY Plans link on the banner at the top of the page and many more plans than appear in his book even if you have both of them ! Paul

Today was pedal car day ! Dalerider and I went to a 3 race meeting about 1 hours drive away , me to look at kingpins ! sad I know... This car had the best lock however this was just a simple go kart style and did not bother with any of the technical complexities 😕 so not really for...

Delta trike design - constraints and solutions ?

So saps rising and a young mans mind turns to kingpins ? The black triangle shows the area the wheel mounting hardware must stay inside for maximum turn radius , just visible in some pictures is a kingpin housing [ head tube ] underneath the axle just to prove it is a no goer. To marry a...

    Differential apparently- Anyone explain it?

Possibly however I am hopeless at this stuff. The big sprocket has an axle that has the nearest left to us cog keyed to it so they rotate together The right cog nearest us rotates on an axle mounted to spin freely on both sides of the big sprocket so is driven by the left cog. The axle to the...

    My life with Python trikes Mk1 , Mk1.5 , Mk2 ?

So make a jig sort of sorts ? The orange pipe has been bolted to some wood and mimics the current handle bar angle the tape with line represents the shortest bar that I can get the levers/controls onto measure distance between tops of existing bars and left bar from seat then removed them...

    My life with Python trikes Mk1 , Mk1.5 , Mk2 ?

You reminded me , mine was very noisy for a while when this tank was just fitted and has now stopped maybe it is related to pressure and will become noisy again when I get a full tank ? Maybe you need to check yours ? as when I took the top cap off the knob I found it's retaining nut finger...

    My life with Python trikes Mk1 , Mk1.5 , Mk2 ?

Hi all So Tilt#6 has been ridden through another winter and we have both survived roughly intact. DannyC and I had a discussion this morning as to when a bodge becomes elevated to the status of ' the way to do it ' ? In Aug 2021 I made these handle bars :- However they were only meant as a...
