    Change of plans, literally

Quite some time ago I purchased plans to build a Voyager bike and bought, and scrounged mose of the parts needed. I pretty much have everything else on junk bicycles I have stashed away. Now I have decided that a tadpole trike would suit me better, so I want to build a Streetfox. I will need to...

Voyager with a 16" front wheel

I have a nice 16" front wheel & tire that I want to use on my Voyager build. I have already shortened a pair of forks to fit. I believe that it will work well if I leave the fork tube a little long and attach the main tube higher on it . We'll find out.

    bushings?

Does anyone know a good source for, or a way to diy bushings like the ones that the rear triangle frame section pivots on if a mountain bike has rear suspension? I have broken up two mountain bikes for parts and have been unable to remove the bushings without destroying them. The new bushings...

    Time to get started

I bought 4 plans in April of 2020, including the Voyager, which I want to build first. I printed the Voyager plans then, but not the other 3. I guess my time has run out to be able to print the others? I bought 6ft of tubing for the frame when I got my plans, and broke down a mountain bike for...

    Tire wear

Question for those with experience, how do tires last, if used mostly on paved surfaces, comparing aggressive/knobby tread like mountain bike tires and more street type like on road bike tires. I know road bike types will be quieter, correct? What about pedaling effort? Thanks.

getting a start on my Voyageur, sorta

I got the rear triangle for my build freed up today. Tomorrow I will work more on getting the bushings out of the donor frame that the rear triangle pivots on. I think I'll use the crank & pedals from the donor bike but I want better derailleurs.

Thinking ahead to a future trike build

My first build is going to be a Voyageur. The next will probably be a trike. School me in the advantages/disadvantages of trikes with the single wheel in the front or the single wheel in the rear.

    aluminum tubing?

Anyone ever build a Voyageur or a WildKat using aluminum tubing? I have two mountain bikes that would be good donors, especially for the Voyageur, which is what I'm probably going to build. They are both aluminum frames and got me thinking about using aluminum for the build. I can't weld...

deciding which one to build ???

I just bought 4 plans on the 4 for $19 deal. Good deal, thanks Brad. I'm going to build , for my first 'bent either the Voyageur or the WildKat. I'm leaning toward the Voyageur, cause I like the rear suspension. I'd like some opinions on which one would be best for a first time build and first...
